Hi all, just a brief note to let you all know (as David Sill reported in the newsletter) We have finally moved to Alnwick, Northumberland. It’s been a long time coming but we are here. Looking forward to exploring new sites and different birding.
I will miss birding in Huddersfield, especially the vis-mig and the winter gull roosts. More importantly, I will miss the friends and fellow birders I’ve met along the years - in no particular order, Dave Pennington ( a good friend since our school days and regular birding companion ) Dave and Steve Pogson ( for the laughs, strange Colne Valley lingo, and always asking ‘what’s for tea Nick’) Mick Cunningham ( for taking me under his wing and introducing me to vis-mig and Gulls!! ) Russ Boland, Johnny Mac, Tim Melling, Dave Sill and more, you know who you are.

For the most part I enjoyed being a member of the Huddersfield Birdwatcher’s Club. I wish the Club and all its members well.

Fear not, I will be down fairly regularly visiting relatives so might bump into some of you then.

All the best - I’ll si thi
Nick
