My first thought was Green Woodpecker, but will be gladly told otherwise. Shape looks good but probably not big enough? A 'stretching' Song Thrush maybe?

Well done Kris you obviously know your peckers!
This male Green Woodpecker is very vocal and visible at the moment. In a few months time when the trees are in leaf I probably won't see this species locally. I suspect they probably breed around the golf course in Fixby.
