I've been messing about with digiscoping for ages with very little success, but just enough to keep me trying - and failing again!

I can't help but be very impressed by the shots that DHP posts on here, in particular the sharpness and clarity, and wonderd if he would like to share some of the secrets of his success with us. One key factor I believe is the construction of a very effective mount, entirely home made. Could you show us something of this structure David, maybe with a photo or two and indications of dimensions.

Any tips would be most welcomed by me and, I hope, by many others.

Alf

Thanks for the compliment Alf! I've kept thinking we could do with a bird technology/tips and tricks thread on here, if not a whole section. One thing I should say - my adapter is no longer entirely home-made. It was until about a year ago but then I realised that the Kowa adapter I used to use with my camcorder could be modified to work with my Fuji F30 and might be a bit better (which it is, but only slightly). Anyway yes, I'll start a digiscoping thread in the next couple of days or so. It might have to go in the gallery section because this section doesn't accept photos.

I have set up a new chat board dedicated to this subject, as an experiment to see if there is any interest - see 'Public Categories'.
