Apologies to all frustrated forum readers and posters for the malfunction of the site last week. David Holloway was struggling manfully to get a response from the site hosts in order to find out what the problem was and to get it fixed. Eventaually they told him that the malfunction was at "our end" and was caused by a file being denied permission on the server.

If you understand what this means and could have ascertained that yourself you should be volunteering to help with site admin. 

Thankfully we're now back up and running just in time to receive a flood of fascinating posts on latest sightings and id discussions.
